FAQs

Do I have to be Catholic to attend?
Heavens, no! While the Finding Your Fiat conference weekend is aimed at Catholic women, any woman is welcome to attend.

Is this just for stay at home moms?
No. This conference was dreamed up by a working mom, a homeschooling mom, and a mom with kids in parochial and public schools. Two are converts and one is a cradle Catholic. Infertility, child loss, small families, and big families are also represented. Along with our differences we also have some similarities: we've all discerned marriage; we all have families; we like good music, good food, and a good drink; and we all are active in our Catholic faith.

Can you relate? Great. Then you should come.

So is this just for wives and mothers?
Nope! There will definitely be many mothers (and babies) attending  but the keynotes, while they may mention married life and motherhood, will speak more broadly about ALL the ways God is calling us. Also, one of our keynote speakers is a single woman, as is Marie Miller who will be giving a breakout talk specifically about finding your fiat as a single woman.

Can I come on Saturday even though I can't make the Friday night event?
Yes! We know that schedules can be tricky sometimes so we're selling tickets for Friday and Saturday separately and bundled together.

What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. If you're a jeans and t-shirt type of gal then go for it. And if you have a fabulous dress you'd like to wear to the Girls' Night Out, feel free!

Will there be child care available?
Unfortunately we are not able to provide childcare and we ask that you make other arrangements. Lap babies are welcome to attend.

What is included in the price of the tickets?
Tickets for Friday provide entrance to the Girls' Night Out which features a presentation by Jenna Guizar, a concert by Marie Miller, hors d'oeuvres, and one free drink from the bar.

Tickets for Saturday include two keynote presentations, two breakout sessions, a sandwich and salad lunch, a coffee break, and live music from Marie Miller.

Tickets may be purchased at TicketLeap.

Where is this happening?
In the heart of Illinois. Friday's event will take place at the Monte Cristo Room in Germantown Hills and Saturday's event will be held at St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria.

What airport should I fly into?
The Peoria Regional Airport (PIA) is the closest and best option.

What hotels do you recommend?
Rooms are blocked off at the following hotels:
- Sleep Inn and Suites in Washington, IL. Rates are $76 + tax  per night. Reservations should be made by June 3rd. Mention the Fiat Conference when booking.
- Fairfield Inn in East Peoria, IL. Rates are $102 + tax per night. Reservations should be made by May 24th. Mention the Fiat Conference when booking.

Are there scholarships?
We have a very limited amount of scholarships available. Please email FindingYourFiatConference@gmail.com to inquire about scholarships.

Who should I contact about special needs (dietary or otherwise)?
Please email FindingYourFiatConference@gmail.com to let us know about any special needs you may have.

Why is there a limited amount of tickets being sold?
We hate that there is a possibility that we will have to turn people away once we are sold out and we hope that doesn't happen. However, we needed to keep this event on the smaller side for the sake of our families, schedules, and stress levels. We appreciate everyone's understanding that this is something we are doing for fun and for respecting our primary vocations as wives and mothers.
